Greetings!

Beloved ones, before you start rolling your eyes, wondering what I am about to say now, to appease you for my lack of communication these many months, do please, hear me out! Yes, I am appealing to your heart of compassion, trusting that you will stay with me as I share something of what has been happening with and more so within me, over the weeks, leading up to the present moment.

Bear with me then, as I try to open up even for myself, some of what I have experienced, a significant portion of which is loaded with wonder-filled goodness, that will make this but a first installment of their unpacking. I hope in the next couple of weeks, therefore, to touch [bases with] you with regularity, as I share what I am unearthing, from the vast store of ‘Godness’.

So, a number of you would by now know that in September, I released my very first album of songs titled: Pure Grace. The many months leading up to that time, was akin to being in a classroom, one in which the Spirit of God was the Master Teacher. It was a classroom shared with others whose help, support, advice, and commitment to the pursuit of excellence, combined to create an atmosphere in which I learned [and am still learning] how to rise above such carnal and purpose-defeating emotions as self-doubt, and the fear of failure, to a higher plain, upon which it is possible to experience and be enveloped by the transfiguring cloud, of ‘Godness’!

For brevity’s sake😊I will move quickly forward in sharing the good news that the album is currently available on and may be streamed from a number of the more popular digital platforms where, using your favorite device, you may listen to any or all of the ten tracks. More than anything else though, what I want to leave with you now, centers on the fact of divine goodness, what I referred to earlier as ‘Godness’. You see, when God is allowed unfettered reign, i.e., to be in control of all things, even where physical evidences of success seem dim or worse, impossible, He provides, especially for those like me who are prone to wandering along paths of foolishness for lack of faith’s sake, people who, beyond mental assent, have internalized the meaning and essence of Ephesians 3:20. Mine has been the blessed privilege, during the making of the album and since its release, of being surrounded by such people. Some of them, being miraculously chosen, are part of a story that is beyond mere telling. I can only affirm, therefore, that from here on, my testimonies will of necessity include snippets of these experiences of ‘Godness’ that will forever be treasured.

Long before the album’s production, I knew and felt in my spirit, that God was moving me towards a new and different season in my life and vocation. I am still somewhat uncertain of exactly what it will look like or entail. Whether it will be an autumn season, illuminated by the variegated light of God’s presence – heralding a quieter and less hectic existence, or a winter season that will require even more of that quiet, brave endurance, that fears not pain or death, I do not know. What I do know and am constantly feeling in my gut, is that I am on the cusp of [already being moved into] a new way of being, a way that will be unequivocally directed, by God’s Pure Grace.

Like I said earlier, I hope to be much more regular, in touching [bases with] you, sharing with you my heart’s meanderings and as I do, inviting your own deep thoughts and reflections.
